OVERVIEW

Gyeonggi-do Promotes Its Charms around the World

Located in the western central region of the Korean Peninsula, Gyeonggi-do is a metropolitan area with a population of 10 million people. Its overall territory covers such a wide area, encircling Seoul and Incheon in the shape of a donut, that the longest distances from east to west and from north to south are approximately 130㎞ and 155㎞, respectively. In addition, one of the largest industrial complexes in Korea has been established in Gyeonggi-do, attracting the offices and plants of Korea’s leading conglomerates including Samsung and SK Hynix, and their logistics complex and many other industrial infrastructures. Most areas in Gyeonggi-do are within an hour’s drive from Seoul, providing optimal one-day travel course.
