Surrounded by the magnificent Bukhan Mountain, Samcheonggak features traditional Korean architecture. It consists of various traditional structures: a traditional house called Ilhwadang that is available for cultural performances, international conferences and seminars; a traditional teahouse; a Korean cuisine restaurant; and an outdoor space used for traditional plays and events. Samcheonggak is well known as the place to serve national guests and hold political meetings. The Chwiseongwan at Korea House offers a variety of traditional culture experiences. The traditional art performance group of Korea House is available for performances during such events.
Designed by professor and architect Lee Jongho, the Chwiseongwan was built on the concept of harmonic coexistence between tradition and modernity. Located to the right path entrance to the Korea House, the Chwiseongwan is elegantly painted in red clay, one of the signature colors of traditional Korean architecture.

Featuring designs by the globally renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Gana Art Center consists of three main exhibition halls spread throughout two floors, which are completed with elegant interiors and in-ceiling lighting facilities. The architecture features a courtyard, only seen in classical architecture styles, which encompass a classic yet modern charm. In the outdoor performance space which has a capacity of 300 seats and a fully equipped sound system, a wide range of cultural events have taken place here, such as classical and pop music performances, mimes, invitational lectures as well as art exhibits.
Gana Art Center was selected as a millennium building by the German architectural institution Tasche in 2000.
