Busan International Advertising Festival – AD STARS 2012 was held at BEXCO in Busan from 23 to 25 August. It is the first ad festival in the world, designed only for the youth. The conference under the theme of ‘Digital Humanism’ was held and the speaker for the keynote speech was Janathan Mildenhall, Vice President of Coca-Cola. The programs included various seminars (incl. master class), ad school, job fair, exhibition area for entrants’ ads, PR booths, ‘Young Stars’ competition, as well as opening/closing ceremonies and VIP parties. In 2012, total of 1,047 industry professionals and college students participated in the festival.
AD STARS, one of the biggest advertising festivals in Asia, has an unique convergence of online and offline competitions where the advertisement submission for the competition opens 24 hours all year round to everyone. Anyone can freely watch entrants’ advertisements, score entrants’ advertisements, upload ideas/insights, and promote on AD STARS website.
