FAQ

  • Q :

My son/daughter already has a high school counselor, how does a personalized consulting service like New Pathway provide a greater advantage?

  • A :

In an increasingly selective and complex admissions environment, professional guidance and strategic planning is critical for students to gain a competitive advantage and find a well-ranked school that aligns with their interests. Our experienced consultants provide the individualized attention needed when applying to highly selective schools that in-school counselors cannot provide due to time constraints and their high volume of student cases. We provide individualized attention through personalized roadmap tailored for students based on their academic requirements and frequent meetings with students to stay up to date.

  • Q :

When is the optimal time to begin consulting?

  • A :

We encourage students to sign up the earlier, the better. By planning ahead, students can highlight achievements through their academic curriculum, intellectual interests, and extracurricular activities and provides time to develop their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Q :

How often do consulting cases meet on an average basis?

  • A :

At New Pathway, we meet with students at least once a week during their senior year, twice a month in sophomore and junior years, and at least once a month for lower grades. However, our student meeting times vary in frequency depending on the application process and individual needs. More over, we understand our students have rigorous schedules during the school year and we coordinate consulting meetings to accommodate for these appointments.

  • Q :

If my son/daughter does not live near a New Pathway Consulting office location, how would consulting services be handled logistically?

  • A :

With technology to assist us, we provide international consultation services via Skype, email, phone, and SMS and help students both locally and abroad navigate an often confusing during their application experience.
