Prior education experience

2+ years in the classroom (for teaching positions) or demonstrated interest in education as identified through past professional, academic, or extracurricular experience in an education setting. Demonstrated past leadership and/or a record of achievement in academic, professional, extracurricular, or volunteer settings. Willingness to persevere, adapt, and maintain focus in the face of challenges. Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to generate relevant solutions to problems. Respect for individuals’ diverse experiences and effectively working with people from a variety of backgrounds.
